The point of mascara is to make your lashes thicker and longer. And if you use yours the normal way, that's the result you should get. But what if we told you there's a trick that could make them appear even fuller — and make your eyes look wider? You'd be all ears, right? Lucky for you, "mascara stamping" is really simple and only takes just a few extra seconds. Plus, the results are amazing.
This simple step instantly makes your eyes look larger and more awake. If you're unsure how to perform this step on yourself, here's a more detailed rundown — it makes a big difference.

Using your usual mascara, apply it to your upper and lower lashes, then add a little on the outer tips for extra flare and length.

This is where the "stamping" part comes in. I used a new mascara because I typically use two mascaras rather than just one, but if you prefer one mascara, just add more product to that brush. Then, gently press your mascara brush against your lash roots. This creates the appearance of more density and volume without looking overdone.
Plus, if you have smaller eyelids, it doesn't take up the same amount of space that eyeliner would, so your lid and eye area can look as large as possible while still letting your eyelashes appear extra thick.
We used: Kevyn Aucoin Beauty The Volume Mascara ().
This takes a little more time and isn't exactly practical for daily use, but if you really want more volume, use the tip of your mascara brush to define each lash.
We used: CoverGirl Star Wars Super Sizer Mascara ($6.85, Drugstores).
