Finally, This Is Us gave us the closure we desperately needed. Well, until next season...

Last night's episode started and ended with a wedding. First, we were given a heartbreaking (and highly speculated) flash-forward sequence with Rebecca and Jack renewing their vows on their 40th anniversary. Then, it was all about Kate and Toby.

And it was very emotional (obviously).

We all expected Kate to honor her late father on the big day — and she did it in a not-so-obvious way. Kevin would lend her his necklace. she'd incorporate his ashes into her wedding look.

But did you notice the Easter egg that was in the middle of Kate's bouquet? Not many people did — but thankfully Chrissy Metz chimed in.

Since we couldn’t find the Daytona beach T-shirt , it was Jacks old screwdriver ❤️

So, what's the deal with the screwdriver? "With all the different choices [of Jack's], it was a matter of, 'What will fit in a bouquet," This Is Us producer Isaac Aptaker told . Even Milo Ventimiglia and Justin Hartley joked that bo gloves and a fishing pole would be too extreme.

Because. Jack. Fixes. Everything.

Naturally, loyal This Is Us viewers shared different ways that they honored their late parents during their own wedding ceremonies — proof that this show is truly art depicting life.

My dad was a cop. He died a year before I got married. I attached his Police lapel pin to my bouquet. I felt every moment you gave us in this episode. You were amazing. ❤️

My dad died ten years before my wedding. I always take his union pin with me to important events (graduation etc) so I had it pinned to my lapel on my wedding day.

— Rich Spada (@Chef_Spada)

My dad died 10 years ago, and two of my most treasured objects are his old Phillips and flathead screwdrivers. I use the all the time, and they always work better than newer ones.

Cue the tears. Lucky for us, we have six months to recover from this heartache — and then it'll happen all over again.
