"The Walking Dead" Is Trolling the Winter Olympics Hard in New Promos

We have to say, these are pretty snarky.

The Walking Dead is going after the Olympics ... hard.

The new midseason promos for season 8 really poke fun at the fact that many Olympic viewers don't really know much about the Winter Games. "You don't know the name of one person on the U.S. curling team. But you do know the name of Negan's bat," the narrator says.

He continues with another dig: "Admit it, you don't know what failing to land a triple axel does to a score but you do know what damage Daryl can do with a rocket launcher."

The Walking Dead team also got in on the Olympics with tweets like this:

But, luckily, you don't have to choose between watching the Winter Olympics and The Walking Dead. The show returns on February 25 at 9 p.m. ET, after the closing ceremony and have wrapped up.

The midseason premiere is set to be an extra-long episode, clocking in at 82 minutes.

SPOILERS AHEAD: According to , the extended episode is likely meant to give beloved character Carl Grimes a proper send-off, as he was bitten by a walker in the midseason finale.
