Even after surgery, Theresa Caputo's supernatural abilities remain in tact.
In an exclusive GoodHousekeeping.com sneak peek of next Monday's episode, "Accident on Tour," the Long Island Medium gives an impromptu reading to one of her nurses while in the recovery room.
When J.R., Theresa's nurse, tells her she is experiencing shallow breathing due to the anesthesia, Theresa responds, "That's what happens when I feel, like, dead people."
She then tells J.R. that she felt he missed a loved one's passing because it occurred in another country. J.R. confirms that happened with his uncle, who died of lung cancer in the Philippines, but he is hesitant to believe Theresa because of his religious beliefs.
"[Your uncle] didn't want you to feel bad about not being there when he died — and he is very proud of you," she says. Theresa then adds that J.R.'s deceased grandmother is also present, and that both she and his uncle acknowledge J.R.'s daughter.

"They said she's very beautiful. She has beautiful eyes," Theresa says. "So if you feel like they don't know about your daughter — she has beautiful eyes. That's all they keep saying."
And just like that, J.R. became a believer. "Now that I heard that she's really sensing spirit, I want to believe that it's real," he says.
Theresa was in the hospital for knee surgery after she injured herself on vacation in Hawaii, according to . The 52-year-old medium has shared her recovery on social media and her show.
In July, Theresa told her fans on , "Thank you all, for all the feel better posts, they honestly do make me feel better!"
