The Duggar family is counting on once more. Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald announced today that they're expecting their third child this spring, and they couldn't be more excited about it.
The TLC stars got married just over three years ago in November 2015 before welcoming their two sons: Spurgeon Elliot, 3, and Henry Wilberforce, 23 months.
"We are overjoyed that God has blessed us with a baby," Jessa, 26, told in a statement. "From the day we found out we were expecting, we both guessed boy, and if our predictions are right then we already have a ton the clothing and accessories ready to pass down! At the same time, we would absolutely love it if we found out we were having a girl — though we’ve joked that we’d be starting from square one and might have to learn a few things."
That's not the only thing posed to change. Ben, 23, joked that the latest addition means that "we’re about to switch from man-to-man to zone coverage."
The couple has previously shared their desire for a large family, and Jessa also revealed that they may potentially adopt or foster to adopt in the future. "My mom always says, 'Love doesn’t divide, it multiplies,'" Jessa told last February after Henry's birth. "It’s so true."
The new addition also brings up the question of names. While Jessa and Ben didn't go the alliterative route like Michelle Duggar, their sons' names share other similarities. The couple named their older son Spurgeon Elliot after 19th-century preacher Charles Spurgeon and missionary Jim Elliot. Their second son's namesakes include minister Matthew Henry and abolitionist William Wilberforce. It's safe to say they'll pick something equally meaningful for their newest bundle of joy.
Season 4 of TLC’s Counting On premieres February 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
