Grammy-nominated singer P!nk is known for putting on extreme live performances, complete with crazy acrobatic routines and high-flying stunts. But she's also a busy mom to Willow, 6, and Jameson, 1.
"I would like to put everything I am and everything I have into everything that I do," she said in a recent . "I'd say the hardest part is just trying to figure it all out."
It's a challenge that many people face, but Pink has some tips and tricks to get it all done. Here's what the rockstar mom eats and does in a day to maintain it all.
She starts her day with coffee — and a superfood smoothie.
Like many of us, Pink relies on that first cup of coffee to get her up and moving in the morning. But she's also a fan of superfood shakes that can help boost energy and increase metabolism. Her trainer, , recommends a smoothie filled with coconut water, avocado, blueberries, and flaxseed oil.
However, she's also a big fan of french toast, especially when husband Carey Hart is making it.
She eats healthy (mostly) vegan food.
Pink tells , "I try to eat really healthy most of the time. When I'm not on tour, I've done the vegan thing, although I sometimes eat chicken and fish."
She says that it's a different story when she's on tour, where her high-energy performances allow her to indulge a little bit more.
"I eat a lot [on tour], because I work out four and a half hours a day: a two-hour show, plus yoga, cardio and a rig check with the flying apparatuses," she explains to .
She grows food in her garden at home.
According to Pink's Instagram, she and her family are great at growing their own food. In addition to the figs in the drool-worthy salad above, she also shared pictures of a grown in their garden, as well as some .
She cooks with her kids.
As a busy mom, Pink often cooks with her kids. In fact, it's one of her favorite things. When a fan tweeted asking what she was looking forward to after her 2013 tour, she replied "cooking for my family :)"
She stays active so that she can indulge with some cheese every now and then.
Whether she's biking 32 miles or hitting the gym, Pink knows the importance of staying active. In addition to staying healthy, being active means she can sometimes indulge in her favorite high-calorie foods like halloumi cheese.
"I'm obsessed with halloumi," she tells . "I grill it for salads with truffle oil and dandelion greens — the more exotic the greens, the better. I don't care if people think halloumi's squeaky; they're wrong."
She stays positive and realistic about her goals.
Pink knows the importance of body positivity. In an Instagram post, she shared her height and postpartum weight, but was quick to emphasize how great she felt.
"I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don't feel obese. The only thing I'm feeling is myself," she wrote.
She's a total foodie.
Whether she's dining at hip L.A. eateries with friends or vacationing in France, Pink knows how to find the absolute best foods.
"I take cooking classes for vacation," she tells . "Last summer I went to Les Prés d'Eugénie, Michel Guérard's place in France, for five days. We made croissants and coq au vin. They have an incredible wine list."
She's kind to her body.
After giving birth to daughter Willow, Pink was eager to get in shape again, but also wanted to take time to bond with her baby. She told Shape that she focused on "being kind" to her body during those first few months.
Tune into the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on January 28 to catch Pink in what's sure to be a high-energy performance of hits from her latest album, .
