Pros

  • Easy-to-clean wipeable surface
  • Keys are easy to play
  • Engaging sounds
  • Overhead attachments good for physical and sensorial engagement
  • Folds easily for travel

    Cons

    • May be a bit small for tummy time as child grows

Tummy time becomes infinitely more fun (for baby and parent!) with this play mat. The gym includes a piano and five hanging toys: an infant mirror, an elephant with a clacker, a frog with a rolling ball, a tiger and a hippo teether, each with different textures and colors. Your baby's kicks will initiate the piano notes, and you can have it play either short or long-form music, up to 15 minutes continuously. The colors, characters, mirror and piano are great for stimulating your child's physical and sensorial development. The piano encourages stretching and kicking, while the activity toys overhead encourage reaching, neck strength and attention. While the mat is great for tummy time, it can also be used as a plain mat for laying or sitting around. While the surface is rather small though, it is likely best for the first few weeks when baby isn't interested/capable of moving all that much.
