This year, you deserve a costume that screams, "Check meow-t!" And for the perfect cat costume, you need more than a pair of cute ears. Thanks to makeup artist Sarah Ahmad, the brains behind the Instagram account , we have a quick and easy way to recreate her glammed up cat makeup. Watch the video above and follow along with the steps below.
Step 1: Layer on bronze eyeshadow and false lashes
Ahmad used the from The Collective Cosmetics to create a cat eye with bronze and gold tones. Before applying the false lashes, make sure you trim them to fit your specific eye shape.
Step 2: Apply bronzer and blush
You can never have too much shimmer for this dramatic cat makeup look.
Step 3: Make your leopard print
Using , draw tiny "C" shapes from your forehead down to your neck.
Step 4: Add some accents
Place a rhinestone, like these neon gems ($2, ), in the center of the C for an added touch of sparkle. Then, take gold face paint and fill in any big gaps with short strokes.
Step 5: Make your lips pop
Ahmad used Karity's red liquid lipstick, but you can use any bold lip to copy this style.
Step 6: Draw on your nose
Add more feline features with black face paint and a thin brush. Paint on your nose, and draw a line down to your lips. Line your top lip with the same brush and you're almost ready to start purring.
Step 7: Contour with white face paint
Take a sheer layer of and use it to contour your face, focusing on your nose and upper lip.
Step 8: Put on your ears!
Grab your favorite pair of and hit the town.
