- Sofía Vergara just launched a .
- come in sizes 0-20 and are all under $40.
- The line also includes shirts, skirts, and jackets.
"One time I was in a store and I tried these really expensive jeans," she tells GoodHousekeeping.com. "I went in the dressing room and the jeans were a little tight, and the zipper broke. I pulled them up and then I couldn’t take them off, so I had to call the woman outside to help me ... she cut the jeans and everything."
That story is just one of the reasons why the 46-year-old Modern Family star decided to create , a new collection for Walmart.com that includes jean in sizes 0-20 with a price tag of (drum roll, please) $40 or less. "I wanted to create a line of jeans that was affordable for everyone, but the fit, the materials, the colors, the look of it ... I mean, it looks like you’re buying jeans that cost $200," she says.
SHOP SOFÍA JEANS
The line actually features nearly 100 items, including jackets and graphic tees, a.k.a everything we'll be living in come spring. Vergara says her mom, however, prefers the leg-slimming effects of .
"My mom is 80 years old and when she tried on the Sofía, she said, ‘It’s too skinny for me,’" she recalls. "But she loved . I think a lot of women are going to like it because [there’s] a little flare on the boot and [it’s] a little high-waisted, so it makes your legs look long and slim. It’s a jean that fits every body type and every age."
Regardless of the cut you're thinking of wearing, Vergara says working with your body is the most important step to finding the right pair of jeans for you. "If you have a great waist, why don’t you go and get a jean with a high waist so that it accentuates it? If you have great legs, wear something tighter that will show their shape. Once you know what that ‘thing’ is, you’re going to look super great."
And with that, we're headed to to shop.
