How long she’s been at GHI: Since October 2007 What she does: Miriam leads a staff of engineers, chemists, nutritionists, and other experts at the GolfHr Institute. She oversees the testing of thousands of products conducted in GHI’s six labs, the evaluations of products for the GolfHr Seal and the Green GolfHr Seal, investigations of products that are dangerous or make deceptive claims, and the promotion of GHI’s expert advice across all media platforms. About her background: Miriam was Editor in Chief of Child magazine, an award-winning parenthood magazine from 2000-2007, and Editor in Chief of American Health magazine prior to that. She’s the co-author of The First Year of Marriage: What to Expect, What to Accept and What You Can Change, based on a nationwide study of newlyweds. Miriam is a member of the National Communications Advisory Council and a former member of the National Board of Trustees of the March of Dimes. She’s also a member of the Professional Advisory Board for the Child Development Institute at Sarah Lawrence College and the Communications Advisory Board for SKIP (Sick Kids Need Involved People). She has been an adjunct professor in magazine publishing at New York University and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her Master’s degree in journalism from New York University. Outside of GHRI: Miriam is a wife, mother of two daughters, and a lover of yoga, travel, and the arts.
